Two thumbs up.

So some guy apparently from Wisconsin was in a few photos taken with girls in their underwear dancing. Im not gonna post the picture, but basically the guy was drinking with some friends downtown and things got alittle wild. He gets into this pose where he is giving two thumbs up in approval of these girls. Somehow the pictures got posted a meme website and this guy became the target of photoshopers. People started using his thumbs up pose and labeling him the "approval guy". They put him in a bunch of pictures where some sort of crazy thing is happenin in the background. Alot of people tried to figure out who he really was but he wanted to remain anoymous. Instead he wrote into a few websites dishing the background on the pictures.

Show some love for the Red Heads.

There is a meme out there right now about red headed people not having souls. The whole thing started with a South Park Episode (go figure) that stated that people with red hair had no souls. I guess from there things got kinda out of hand and people started getting picked on at school.
One "ginger" out there deceided to make a video response to it. Its very hardcore. The kid is 18 yrs old and pissed. He talks about how he is a Christian and only God knows whether or not people have a soul. He says people pick on him at school constantly and he isn't gonna take it anymore. Its pretty admirable, but I mean what do you think is gonn happen when you post that? People are gonna screw with it man. A bunch of people did remixes to it, and I think South Park even made a cartoon version of it. Alot or raps and what not were made. Some of them are pretty good, but Poor Kid right.
The link below will take you to the main page where you can check em all out.

100 hour challenge.

We recently did a 100 hr challenge for the Wisconsin Entrepreneurship program out of UW-Madison. The point of the project was to show up at this swap shop and pick up $15 worth of junk essentially. You could really find anything there. Our group ended up picking up some metal pipe, charcoal, a glass bowl, and some filters. Naturally we decided the best thing to do was make a water filter. This idea kind of came to us after the recent tragedy in Haiti where a lot of people were going with out fresh water. Our group created a website, video, and a facebook page.
The members of my group from Spencer's class were Steve, Disco, Rose, Kyle, Travis, and Myself. There is a link to our website below.

Are you a bad enough DUDE?!

So I came across those old screen shot on known your meme. Its the original B.A. himself Duke Nukem asking if your a "bad" enough dude to save Ronnie. Ronnie being the President at the time, Ronald Reagan. From there it was taken into the on-line culture and embraced as something macho. As usual people started shopping the screen shot and started coming up with all sorts of catches phrases. Alot of them revolve around tech lingo. For example, one of the images asked if your a bad enough dude to break through seven proxies.

People also started incorporating other characters in like Yoda and spider man. I suppose the word "Bad" was pretty cool back in the day considering the game came out in 1988. I guess it would be like a new game today asking if you had enough "swag" to save the day. Who knows. All I know is that I am a bad enough dude. Ya dig?

Cinnamon Snot

Some new featurettes showed up on know your meme since I last posted. I clicked on the first one called the "Cinnamon Challenge". Basically the point is to eat a tablespoon of cinnamon and try to keep it down. It all started back around 2001 on-line. God knows how long ago somebody tried it somewhere else.
It sounds like it could be easy right? All you have to do is kinda grind it out and turn it into mush and force it down right? Well I guess that's not how the cookie crumbled. Word is A LOT of people have tried this and there is an uber amount of videos out there on-line. Few have apparently been able to succeed. Most of the attempts start fine but people start to choke and the cinnamon turns into a like smoke and starts coming outta your nose. People usually start to cough and this big mushroom cloud of cinnamon comes out. Its pretty good stuff.
So if you're in for a jack ass challenge try this one. I'm sure you all have a few friends who are willing to drink a few brewskis and give er the ol' college try.

Rollar Coaster Chess Baby

So I clicked on an article from the know your meme website homepage. It dealt with playing chess on a roller coaster. Seems crazy but most people are in some way shape or form. The idea is to grab a chess board and glue down the pieces. From there you sneak your board onto the ride some how (which is impressive in its own right). Then you pretend to play chess while you pass the camera that takes your picture. Its really a clever thing to do. People started sneaking all sorts of games on to rides and taking these snap shops. It would be interesting to see what people will do next. Ride naked, jump, who knows.

The picture in the blog is said to be the original one. It looks like its on some kind of splash mountain type ride. I guess there's always some kinda thrill in being the first to do anything.

Stay strong roller coaster chess players because life is just one big roller coaster.

Game Trailer TV gives us the Word Up.

To start off, the episode is masterfully done. Its very clean and very professional. Not to mention the fact that all the graphics are also very clean. The sound quality is outstanding. My favorite part is the fact that it shows tons of screen shots and game shorts. The amount of visual content really keeps you interested. The breaks are well spaced too. I just think the whole thing was really tastefully down.

Some of the games that stood out to me was the first cowboy western game by rockstar. I like the fact that its like GTA but in a western setting. I also liked that game called Heavy Rain (I think). Its almost like watching a cop thriller on the big screen but being able to play as a the character. Halo reach also looked fantastic, though I dont have an x-box the story line behind the whole series is great and really never ending.

The game I would have to say caught me the most was Super Street Fight IV. I'm a big sucker for the old school fighting arcade games and Street Fighter is my fav. I don't have alot of games for my ps3 but I Street Fighter IV was my first buy. The new characters look to add a whole new mix to the game as well as the the new unique attacks and combos. I hope they continue the story line they are building up too. I don't ever buy too many video games but I'll have to snag the new fighter when it comes out.

Do Work.
