This has also been a popular meme as it has appeared on the home page for a long time. Its called playing dead. The origin started in Korea mostly. The idea was to take pictures of yourself playing dead or pretending to be dead. I guess it started in a manga comic book where a little boy would play dead when his mother got home.
Anyway this was a big deal online in Asia in 2003. In fact they seem to be much better at doing it then most westerners. Which apparently is cool? There are alot of pictures out there with people acting dead. A lot just look like people sleeping but some are pretty convincing. Its kind of a morbid thing to do though. I don't really see the point in it, unless your using it in films. Maybe its a cultural thing or an artistic expression, who knows man. But chances are you won't find me playing opossum anytime soon.
